Once In A Blue Moon Farm

Located on the western side of Orcas Island about two miles from the ferry landing, this beautiful estate of 35 acres is committed to sustainable practices of farming and tourism. The original homestead was founded over 100 years ago and has gone through many transformations. This historic farm property is now available for your special vacation experience.

We have created five suites, located in two separate farm buildings on the estate. Each has it's own personality and we make every effort to find the best match for you. Enjoy a guided tour around our orchards, food gardens and barnyard. Organic fruit and pasture ranged eggs are available for purchase.

The Lilac Suite

Located on the ground level of our remodeled Orcas Island farmhouse, the Lilac Suite has an open floor plan with custom detailing throughout. The suite includes one bedroom and a second sleeping nook in the living space, both with pillowtop queen beds. It is equipped with a studio kitchenette (no cooktop). The Rock Rose Suite

On the ground level of our remodeled Orcas Island farmhouse, the Rock Rose Suite is well suited for a family. There is one bedroom and a second sleeping nook in the living space, both with pillowtop queen beds. The suite includes a full kitchen. Note: The Rock Rose and the Lilac Suites are side by side units with a shared patio. When these two units are rented together they offer the best option for groups of 6-8 people.

The Secret Garden Room

Relish the morning and afternoon sun in a private courtyard and garden. Features a cozy rustic interior with high ceiling. One queen bed and one full bed, this is our most economical option. The room is equipped with a private bathroom (shower only), microwave (upon request), mini fridge, and coffeemaker. CLICK HERE

The Alpaca Suite

Ground level suite with surrounding courtyard and garden overlooking the alpaca pasture. Features a warm pine interior, vaulted ceiling and custom tiled private bathroom. One queen and twin bed on the ground floor and a queen futon in the sleeping loft. The suite is equipped with a studio kitchenette (no cooktop).CLICK HERE

The Barn Loft

This studio loft is located on the second story of a renovated carriage barn, allowing for expansive 360 degree views of our lovely farm property. Natural light fills the vaulted ceilings with morning and evening sun, casting shadows on the beams. One queen bed plus one twin bed, and a day sofa make the barn loft perfect for a couple, small family, or a few friends. The room is equipped with a full kitchen, including decorative tile counters, gas stove, microwave and refrigerator. This is a favorite second home getaway for many customers who come back year after year, and stay a week at time. This space stands alone, and has the most privacy of any of our units. CLICK HERE
